We made it and made it in style! Japan is everyhting we,ve heard and more. It,s ultra clean, very calm, green, and the people are nicer then you could ever imagine. Really. The journey went extremely well and we are settled into our hotel, which is also better than we could imagine. And it,s true about the toilets! They are heated, have sinks built into the top and make fake flushing noises while you pee. So, we are off to find some japanese breakfast and later catch up on some sleep. Sapporo is full of bicycles, a welcome greeting. And no one locks them up. We are very excited. More later. Love, d&j

Fantastic! I'm so glad things are going well for you there. Remember when we went to New Zealand for a couple months Jennifer? That was before the days of internet-email-blog-cellphone, so we just disappeared. Now things are different, eh? Update the page whenever you can and let us know what it's like. And enjoy yourselves!
Yay! I'm so glad you've arrived safely. catch some zzz's
Hey, Hello!!! Fern and Diana...
It's absolutely wonderful to know you have made it to Japan! And that now I am part of your incredible journey...keep the
messages coming and the pix...this
is such great fun for me!
I love you, Fern, MOM
The bathrooms in Nepal mostly had little mini shower-heads hung from the wall next to the toilets (thankfully I packed my own paper)...definitely not heated!
Sounds fantastic :).
